IWC First Day on Ministry Site

Today began our ministry time with the Roma children. We knew we were in for a treat when we rounded the corner only to see children waiting on us. We were most surprised that they greeted us instantly with kisses and warm hugs! Very affectionate little folks! We do not have words to express the joy and the experience today so we will just let the pictures speak. Yes, you ARE God of this city!!

  2. As I sit here scanning these pictures, tears of such immense pride and love pour forth, for I feel so blessed. Blessed to know each of you, blessed to watch you serve others in such selfless ways, blessed that God is allowing me to pray for each of you, blessed to be aware that teenagers that I, Kelley Deep, know are touching lives in the name of God...in a way that these people will never forget. I deeply love each of you and truly do not have enough words to tell you how proud of am of each and every one of you....

  6. hey guys,

    wow, is all i can really think while looking at the pictures. it's amazing to see your faces in such an unfamiliar place. i'm so proud of you guys, for heeding the call and just saying yes. saying yes to being there for these kids, doing puppet shows, painting nails, giving 'tattoos.' loving the unloved. i can only imagine how amazing it is to minister to these kids.

    i miss you all, and i can't wait to see you soon!

    love, katie

  8. I love the little girl with the clothes pins clipped to her shirt in her cute little shoes. I knew when all of you left here that not only would the Roma people be blessed, but each one of you would also be blessed. What I didn't realize was how blessed I would be by seeing these pictures and imagining how incredible it is to be there serving our God. You have been an inspiration to me and all of my family that are anxiously awaiting each daily entry on this blog. God is so much bigger, SO MUCH BIGGER than I ever give him credit for.

    Love you all!!!

    PS. Jessi, are you having lice issues???

    Psalm 31:1-3
    "In you, O Lord, I have taken refuge;
    Let me never be put to shame;
    Deliver me in your righteousness.
    Turn your ear to me, come quickly to my rescue;
    Be my rock of refuge, a strong fortress to save me.
    Since you are my rock and my fortress,
    For the sake of your name lead me and guide me."
